adam good to hear you support em all the way. However you do always sound very negative. The season tickets are pretty much done. You’ve got to learn to take the ‘spin’ of a letter written by a Marketeer with a huge pinch of salt. Brady and co have been sending the same letter for 10 years, I suprised you haven’t noticed! I read somewhere on here just that we are haggling over peanuts...(re Pandi). Those peanuts equate to half a million pounds worth of season ticket holders’ money. I’m glad they don’t let people think they are a soft touch, look at the situation with Chelsea and Lyon. Our board are doing a fine job, I too would love them to be signing all of these ‘big’ names, but for my past 39 years Blues have not exactly been a household name...Spurs certainly have, Boro are 5-6 years ahead of us, but even Everton are struggling to get the top players. Just chill abit and try to put a positive spin on it (ie take a leaf out of Karens book). cheers ;) |

By the way, in case it is Euell he has a prem scoring record of 33 goals from 97 starts. His shots to goal ratio is very good too. He has some pace, which is what we lack in the front line, and Pandiani would not have improved. He's 27 and as a 3rd / 4th choice striker, in the short term before Kuqui gets to grips with the Prem, then that's fine with me. Who in the Prem outside the top 4, who has 3 top quality forwards, not many even have two. We have. |

Sorry if this has been posted before http://www.fansfc.com/birminghamcityfootba...p?newsid=142571 Pandiani finally closing on Birmingham move 10:08 7/27/2005 Walter Pandiani will hopefully be a Birmingham City Football Club player by the end of the week. The Blues have been chasing the Deportivo La Coruna striker since having him on loan for the second half of last season, yet the two clubs have been haggling over the fee all summer. However, according to reports in Spain, Birmingham have agreed to pay the Spaniards a fee in the region of £3.3million for Pandiani, who is desperate to conclude the deal as soon as possible. Speaking of Spain does anyone know whcih Spanish side were playing at Depors stadium the day after the La Coruna match? |

If we sign euell I will welcome him with open arms just like any other player that signs for us. The fact emains though that this guy is no where near top quality. Another bit part player that will add little extra to help us push for europe. |

The South London Press are reporting that the Euall deal is nearly complete. He has pace, has played in the Premier and IMO will be a good addition to the team. I am disappointed at the lack of realism in so many on these message boards. We are not in a position to challenge the Chelsea's, Arsenals and Man Yoo's for players and Sullivan has been straight. He has said this and added that he is frustrated to be in that position, which is aggravated by foreign players wanting to play in London only. There has not been much movement anywhere on the transfer front this year and there are many other Premier League fans as frustrated as those at Blues. So far the Board and Bruce and his team have done us proud. It is frustrating to be a Blues supporter but we have really moved forward and IMO in a couple of years time we will be in a much stronger position. There are no instant solutions. Even the Shankley's and Ferguson's went through rough patches before they had the teams they wanted. Wwe must have patience and let everyone know that we will KRO! |

A positive post :D The last steps are small one but the most tricky. They won't let us down. Do Blues fans think we have a devine right now. Lets not become spurs fans and change from happy to hard done by at the drop of a hat. Be happy and lets all pull together. Just be realistic is all i ask, in your negative posts. Unless you really know what is going on behind the seens how can you coment so rashly. |

Well said people. I was shouted down a few days ago in a thread about Euell. I was the only one to stand up for the bloke and got shouted down by the masses. Nice to see that we have some other realists here. |

I'm all for Euell - he has a great strike record for an attacking midfielder. We need more goals from midfield, so let's be having ya Jason! |

nobody would be more disappointed than me if we dont sign him, but he's not the difference between us and a relegation fight, ffs, get real!! wake up, have a proper look at the squad and get behind them all...injuries and scabbage prevented us from going close to europe last season, it will be injuries again if we dont achieve, NOT lack of quality.... |

My thoughts exactly. He may be the type of player who turns out to be a real hero. He may not. But top quality he isn't. Where are the promised one or two quality signings? |

Hope you are right. I dont blame Blues for sticking to their principles over the 'severence' money. But if it was the difference between signing him or losing him, I'd bite the bullet and pay up. So Depo have a little chuckle to themselves. So what? At the end of the day we buy one of the top European strikers and he's still a bargain! |

Crazy translation of an article in a local Spanish paper today: Last flecos of the crossing of Pandiani to the Birmingham Eugene Botas and Lendoiro met last night to close the crossing of Walter Pandiani to the Birmingham. Writing/To Corunna The club blanquiazul will perceive 4,8 million euros of which a part will be destined to pay the money that must to the player. Despite the agreement it today has to be shaped. One even hopes that the president gives a press conference to speak of which he has been true culebrón of the summer. Walter Pandiani was in England in the last days where he made sure in first person of the conditions of his new contract with the English equipment. More supplies In the last hours other equipment as the Manchester City the deportivista forward but the supplies were interested in that have arrived is not far from it similar to the one of the Birmingham. However, in the case of Pandiani it is necessary to hope to that everything is signed because the one is already a month that takes working in the subject and in all this time it has not advanced. Lendoiro even got to recognize that in many occasions the negotiations happened of the target to the black and vice versa. (If anyone with an ounce of Spanish would like to read the original and translate it for us, see El Ideal Gallegos) (Thanks to the artist formerly known as struway for the original heads up on this one!) |

I agree with bluediver, I doesn't matter if Depo have 'a little chuckle', we had a great big belly laugh at Welshburn, over cabbage, 3 million quids worth. |
